1st Annual NAMI Treasure Valley 5K Walk and Resrouce Fair
Our team is thrilled to announce the 1st Annual NAMI Treasure Valley 5K Walk and Resource Fair happening Saturday, September 29th, 2018. The walk will branch starting from Old Timers Shelter in Ann Morrison Park and loop around along the beautiful Boise greenbelt back to the shelter for walkers and supporters to join in on the Resource Fair.
In addition to the 5K, the fair will host provider booths, an interactive art project, food trucks, vendors, therapy dogs, family friendly activities area and a special zone for veterans.
HOW IT WORKS
Most of the money is raised before the Walk. Register to walk or become a Team Captain. Then ask friends, family, coworkers, and business associates to donate either in person or via email or letter. Share your story of why mental illness is important to you. You’ll probably find out that the persons you’re talking to have their own story to share, too.
We do accept general donations. If you’d like to make a general donation to the Walk (rather than to a specific team), feel free to do so on our website, tvnami.org/walk

HOW DO WE USE THE FUNDS?
Our NAMIWalks 2018 goal is $50,000!!
Your participation in the NAMI Walk enables NAMI Treasure Valley to continue our mission of education, support and advocacy for those affected by mental illness. Proceeds help fund our programs, which we offer free to all participants.
Why do we offer our programs for free? Because NAMI recognizes that mental illness can affect every area of one’s life, including finances. Offering our services for free eases the burden.
NAMI Treasure Valley is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
