American Tribal Style® Belly Dance Fundamentals
This is a fun, playful, interactive group dance that creates a sense of sisterhood through movement. American Tribal Style ® Belly Dance is a modern American dance that is influenced by Flamenco, Egyptian, Arabic, and Indian folkloric moves. We'll learn isolated, yet fluid, steps and cues, then create unique, improvised combinations together. Ages 18 and up. When: Tuesdays in November. November 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th. 6:30-7:45pm Where: JUMP Move Studio on the fifth floor, take a right out of the elevators. Cost: 4 class pass for $40 or $13 single class/drop-in fee. *When you participate in a program or activity at JUMP, you agree to our Personal Release Statement. What to Expect: Wear clothes you can move in and bring a water bottle. We have limited changing room space and do not have lockers for personal items at the moment so please plan accordingly. She discovered ATS 10 years ago and has dedicated herself to this dance style since. Her teaching philosophy is to move your body and have fun doing it! What inspires you? I am inspired by exploring. I love being exposed to and playing with new ideas and experiences. American Tribal Style® Belly Dance, both the movement and the music, is so different from my everyday life that it makes me feel like I'm traveling on vacation. FAQs What is JUMP? I assume the liability of and agree to compensate JUMP for any damages other than normal wear and tear of the facility and equipment. When entering the JUMP premises, you are entering an area where photography, audio and video recording will occur. By entering these premises, you consent to all recording media and its release, publication, exhibition or reproduction to be used for any JUMP purpose. I further waive my rights to all claims in connection with any JUMP publication, regardless of its purpose. JUMP is not responsible for replacing lost, misplaced, stolen or damaged belongings and valuables; therefore, JUMP recommends that visitors bring only essential items to the facility. What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? You may bus, bike, drive, walk, skip, etc. Check Boise's bus schedule at www.valleyride.org. We love bikers and have bike racks to secure your ride. If you plan to drive, paid parking is available on the 3rd and 4th levels of the JUMP parking garage or in Simplot's below ground parking garage, both accessible from the Myrtle Street entrance located between 11th and 9th Streets. Please note, the below ground parking garage is only available after 4PM until 6AM on weekdays and all day on weekends. Credit/debit cards accepted only.
