San Diego's Pinback features Zach Smith (a.k.a. Armistead Burwell Smith IV) and Rob Crow, whose prior bands include Heavy Vegetable, Thingy and 3 Mile Pilot. In 2001 NPR's 'All Things Considered' ran a four-minute audio review of their work which almost instantly elevated the disc to the top ten bestsellers on Amazon.com. Pinback's fifth studio album 'Information Retrieved' was released in October 2012.
