18th Annual Change Your World Celebration
The Wassmuth Center of Human Rights 18th annual Change Your World Celebration is happening Saturday, October 2nd. This year, the Center’s signature fundraiser will be an entirely virtual, free event that is open to anyone that would like to participate. The theme of the evening is “Hear Our Voices,” a phrase meant to amplify that we are a community of voices sharing a commitment to promote respect for human dignity and diversity through education.
The celebration will be hosted by the Center’s Executive Director Dan Prinzing and KTVB news anchor, Mark Johnson. The night will include special remarks form the Founder and CEO of Chobani, Hamdi Ulukaya, as well as cameos from community leaders, Mayor Lauren McLean, Rep. Chris Mathias, Sister Carol Ann Wassmuth, Dr. Marlene Tromp, and Rabbi Dan Fink. Musical guests, Ben Burdick, Nicole Christensen, Cheri Buckner-Webb, Steve Eaton and Wade Short.
This year, the event’s live auction will be open online from September 17th through October 2nd. An impressive variety of auction items will be made available to bidders including an exclusive private dinner for 10 in Zion’s Bank’s “secret room” (value $2,030), An eight-night, inclusive stay in South Africa with guided tours and safaris (value $8,590), and golf for four at the Crane Creek Country Club (value $500).
