FIRST Robotics Competition, Idaho Regional

Friday, March 29, 2019, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

30 high school teams from Idaho and 4 other states including Mexico will bring students, teachers, mentors, sponsors and family members to participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition. This high-tech sporting event will produce excitement and energy for participants and spectators alike, as teams compete for honors and recognition that reward design excellence, sportsmanship, teamwork, and more. DESTINATION: DEEP SPACE Presented by Boeing, the 2019 FIRST Robotics Competition game, finds teams collecting samples on Planet Primus. Two competing alliances will combat unpredictable terrain and weather patterns, making remote robot operation essential to their mission on the planet. With only 2 minutes and 30 seconds until liftoff, the alliances must gather as many cargo pods as possible and prepare their spaceships for departure before the next sandstorm arrives. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a not-for-profit organization, founded by inventor Dean Kamen, dedicated to inspire an appreciation of science and technology in young people.
