Native Plant Restoration: Repotting Party

Saturday, April 27, 2019, 8:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Hands on activity where YOU can help create bird habitat in the Treasure Valley and get lunch too! The Treasure Valley Native Plant Network is teaming up with Zamzow's in Eagle to host a re-potting party. There are thousands of baby native seedlings ready to be potted in preparation for the summer growing season. Seedlings were germinated by local school and community groups and will be used for restoration projects this fall - but they need to be in bigger pots! All materials and training provided & all ages are invited. Drop in for an hour or two or stay for the whole marathon. We will be working with sagebrush, bitterbrush, milkweed, and many more pollinator- and bird-friendly species. Local experts will be on hand to talk about wildlife friendly plantings, botany and plant care. Plus lunch will be provided by Zamzow's! Donations will be accepted with 100% going to the Treasure Valley Native Plant Network's effort to restore habitat in your neighborhood. Contact sfinn@goldeneagleaudubon.org for more information. BBQ lunch available for $1 donation.
