Join us on Saturday, May 25th for the Tri-Fit Challenge.
Every year over 243 First Responders die by suicide. The community of emergency services has always been subject to traumatic incidents and stressful scenarios- it’s in the nature of the career path. First responders are always there for us, responding when most dangerous and in our time of need. It is our time to be there for them. The Tri-Fit Challenge is a community building event to promote awareness, empathy, and authentic reflection around Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI) & mental health among First Responders.
Want to get involved? There’s two ways to be a part of the Tri-Fit Challenge. Register as a “Participant” or as a “Supporter.”
Participants (9:30AM start) - Challenge yourself by moving through workout stations with a group of peers at several stops around downtown Boise. Exercises will be led by a certified coach and difficulty can vary. After becoming physically exhausted, you will move on to challenging yourself mentally through reflection and empathy building activities. Participants will be put into one of three teams for station rotations (please let us know below if there is anyone you would like to compete with). After completing the Challenge, festivities will commence at JUMP with food and drinks, emergency vehicles, mental health resources, and more.
Supporters (11:30AM start) - While participants tackle the Challenge, engage in activities that support First Responders in their journey of reflection. Join in the after-party by having a conversation with a first responder, enjoy food and drinks, and help intentionally build a positive culture around mental health in emergency services. Bring your family! Fire trucks will be there for the kids to play on!
